IFLR1000 Energy and Infrastructure Deal Report 2017 has just been released and Suciu Popa is mentioned as counsel for an important project in the oil & gas field: Midia Gas Development Project. The project, which is the first of this type in Romania after the communist period, consists of the development of natural gas discoveries in the Black Sea, permitting and construction of offshore platforms and production wells, a 121 km offshore and 4 km onshore transmission pipeline, a gas treatment plant and a 25-km pipeline to tie with the National Gas Transmission System, requiring an estimated investment of approx. USD 500 million.
Our client, Black Sea Oil & Gas, a company wholly owned by Carlyle International Energy Partners, is advised by a highly experienced inter-disciplinary team of lawyers in connection with land acquisition, permitting (including ESIA) and construction of the project, as well as on various issues related to the future marketing and sale of the resulted gas production.
